The new family house is a low energy dwelling, fusing architectural and landscape design, located on a sensitive wooded sloping site in the outskirts of Sheffield.
The design utilises the topography of the land in order to optimise the views from the site, with the internal layout of the rooms responding to the solar penetration throughout the day.
Working closely with the client the design has developed through consideration of how the family will use their new home. The new building sits carefully within existing mature protected trees in order to assist with gaining planning consent.
