Matthew Dyer

From 1993 to 2000 Matthew Dyer studied Architecture at De Montfort University, Leicester where he gained a First Class Honours Degree followed by a Distinction in the Post Graduate Diploma of Architecture. His student work received much accreditation and was published in the university’s end of year exhibition and portfolio.

Upon completing his studies Matthew joined David Morley Architects in 2000 where he worked on the succesful competion for the English Institue of Sport at the University of Bath. He remained a key member of the design team for the Sports Institute delivering the project through to completion as site Architect in 2003. During his time at David Morley Architects the practice was awarded Young Practice of the Year in 2002 and expanded from a small partnership to become a leading medium sized practice.

In 2003 he chose to broaden his experience and worked in two smaller architectural practices taking on a more central role in the delivery of bespoke individual projects; briefly with Fereday Pollard Architects and then with Andrew Wright Associates. His work developed a closer understanding of the environmental influences in the creation of responsive architecture.

In October 2006 Matthew briefly joined RyderHKS to help them deliver several projects within their offices.

The following projects represent those undertaken at various practices druing Matthew's career. A link to each practice's website can be found under the 'links' section.
